Warranty and maintenance manuals for kitchen furniture

TRUMP kitchens have a 2-year warranty.
The TRUMP kitchen is designed according to the needs of its user. It's a safe purchase, backed by our 2-year kitchen furniture warranty (for material and manufacturing defects in doors, cabinet bodies and mechanisms). In the case of household appliances, we follow the manufacturer's warranty conditions.

What is included in the warranty?
The warranty only applies to products intended for home use. The warranty is effective from the date of original purchase of the product and covers all defects in the products listed in the following paragraph. The original purchase receipts must be kept for the warranty. The warranty is only given to the original purchaser of the product, it is not transferable to another person. The 2-year warranty is only valid if you purchase the product as part of a kitchen set purchased at the same time. A kitchen set means a combination of at least one cabinet and one product that forms a functional whole. Also keep the assembly, installation and maintenance instructions.

The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects in the following parts
Cabinet bodies, plinths, legs, doors and drawer fronts, drawers, hinges, grid baskets, cover plates, moldings, work surfaces, sinks, shelves, oven drawers and cabinet drying racks. The warranty does not apply to solid wood products, shelves and wall shelves.

Limitations of warranty
The warranty does not cover products that are not installed indoors, or products that are outdoors or in damp locations. The warranty also does not cover defects, normal wear and tear, scratches or cuts caused by impacts or accidents. The warranty does not cover products that have been installed or assembled incorrectly or in violation of the installation instructions, or that have been improperly stored, misused, modified, or cleaned in the wrong way or with the wrong type of cleaning products.
The warranty does not cover consequential or accidental damage or defects that have occurred while the product has been used for purposes other than its original purpose.

Problem situation
In case of problems, contact your TRUMP dealer. We will examine the product and find out if the defect is covered by the warranty. If the warranty covers a defect, we will repair it at our discretion or replace the product with an identical or similar product. In such situation, we decide what the appropriate product is. Defective or incorrectly supplied parts are the property of TRUMP.

Maintenance instructions

  1. Painted, varnished and film doors
If the door gets dirty, clean it by lightly wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. If the stain does not come off with water alone, add detergent to the cloth. Spray the cleaning product on a clean cleaning cloth or moisten it in another way. Finally, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth. Furniture doors can be cleaned with common household cleaning products, for example Kiilto home cleaner is recommended. Do not use boiling water for cleaning. It is forbidden to use abrasives and organic solvents. Contact with very hot objects such as hot pots or pans can damage the door. The door must not come into contact with running water, e.g. when installing the product in damp places. In damp rooms, it is recommended to install a door covered with a membrane.
Heat resistance of membrane doors: meets the requirements of SFS, EN and DIN standards for furniture doors. The heat resistance of membrane doors is -40 ° C to + 80 ° C, currently over 100 ° C. Furniture doors can be installed in cold rooms, but not in places where the temperature drops below -40 ° C. The external temperature of the oven frame should be checked during installation. If the frame temperature rises above the recommended limits for furniture doors, a thermal protection strip must be used for installation.
Handling: There are no special storage requirements for MDF furniture doors. However, the doors must not be exposed to moisture. Care should always be taken when handling doors. The MDF furniture door can be bruised/damaged by improper handling, especially at the corners and edges. Pay attention to cleanliness when making the handle holes. Any kind of debris will easily scratch the surface of the door. Special care must be taken when handling lacquered doors. Membranes must have their protective films removed. Minor paint defects caused by wear or scratches can be repaired with a touch-up paint. If the paint surface breaks down to the substrate, the door is very accessible to moisture. If the membrane door breaks, it cannot be repaired. In such cases, we recommend buying a new door.
Disposal: Doors can be recycled but must be disposed of in accordance with official regulations. When burning membranes at low temperatures, hydrogen chloride formation is possible, so home burning is not recommended. It is also not recommended to burn painted doors at home. PVC film is plastic waste.
  2. Maintenance of frame parts and melamine doors
The surface material of the body parts, sides, bottoms, ceiling, shelves and plinth and several doors is melamine. The plates of the back walls of the housings are painted. The bathroom furniture bodies are made of moisture-resistant chipboard with a melamine surface.
Clean cabinet bodies, door fronts, shelves and other wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, you can use a mild detergent. Use only neutral detergents (PH6-8) or weakly alkaline detergents (PH6-8) suitable for kitchen materials, such as pine soap dissolved in water. Do not use cleaning products containing ammonia, alcohol, bleach or abrasive ingredients. After maintenance with the above-mentioned means, clean the surfaces with a cloth moistened with clean water and dry with a clean cloth. If something splashes or falls on surfaces, dry the surface immediately. The liquid must not stand on the surface. Also, remember the bottom of the wall cabinets and the edges of the doors when cleaning.
Do not place the coffee machine or kettle in such a way that the steam rising from it condenses on the underside of wall cabinets and doors. Also, do not open the dishwasher door immediately after the washing program has finished, as the heat and moisture rising from the dishwasher can be absorbed into the worktop or doors, causing them to expand.
  3. Features and maintenance of laminate worktops
A work surface covered with laminate does not contain harmful amounts of formaldehyde. No harmful substances are released from the surface of the laminate. The work surface is resistant to household cleaning chemicals. The work surface is not resistant to abrasive cleaning agents or harsh mechanical cleaning. Clean the work surface like other furniture surfaces, but if the stain is strong, it can be removed from the laminate surface by wiping with a cleaning cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol, acetone or thinner, do not rub. The work surface cannot withstand scratching with sharp objects. The work surface cannot be used as a cutting board. Do not place hot pots, baking plates or heating devices on the work surface. Always use heat shields to protect the surface of the work surface. From the edge between the sink and the work surface and other points of connection, it is imperative to prevent moisture from entering the structures, it must be treated with silicone. Always remember to dry any spilled/dripping liquids (water, coffee, sauces, etc.) immediately. Clean the work surfaces thoroughly and regularly, this way you will keep the surface of the worktop "as good as new".
Regularly check the condition of the silicone in the connection between the work surface and the vertical surfaces of the wall. If necessary, remove the old connection and replace it with new silicone. If you notice swelling or other defects in the work surface, repair them immediately. This will prevent more serious damage. Do not open the dishwasher door immediately after the washing program has finished, as the heat and moisture rising from the dishwasher can be absorbed into the worktop or doors, causing them to expand.
  4. Instructions for the use and maintenance of natural wood worktops
Upon receipt, we ask that you check the product for visible damage as soon as you receive it. Special attention should be paid to corners, edges and surfaces. Complaints about these worktops must be made immediately or within five days of receipt and always before installation. The installed work surface is an approval/confirmation of the quality of the product. Visible damage is therefore considered to have occurred during installation and does not entitle you to repair under warranty (we are not responsible for dismantling an installed worktop and/or installing a new worktop unless the installation was ordered from the manufacturer). Small cracks are a natural part of solid wood and do not warrant a complaint.
Handling: the product covered with a protective film is natural (unfinished). After removing the protective film and processing the work surface, the work surface must be finished on all sides and ends. Finish with an oil wax, e.g. OsmoColor TopOil. Before installation, the work surface must be kept at room temperature for at least 12 hours in order to achieve equilibrium humidity. The treated surface must be dry and clean. Oil treatment requires prior sanding (roughness 150). Clean the sanded surface from dust using a dry cloth or a brush. All surfaces of wooden worktops must be oiled to prevent deformation of both the upper and lower surfaces. The curved work surface does not recover. All cross-sectional surfaces should be treated (tile ends, sink opening and other treated edges). If there are signs of wear on the oiled surface of the work surface and the water formed on the work surface begins to absorb into the wood, treat the work surface again with OsmoColor TopOil. Carry out maintenance and repair work with the same product that was used for the initial treatment, this will ensure the best possible result.
Installation: during installation, the possible expansion and contraction of the work surface must be taken into account. A 3-5 mm "gap" must be left between the wall and the work surface. Fixing the work surfaces must be done "loosely" so that the expansion and contraction of the wood caused by changes in humidity is possible. Pre-drill holes for installing the screw through the mounting strips of the cabinet and use washers under the screw if necessary. To allow expansion/contraction of the work surface, do not overtighten the screws. To seal sinks, use silicone or glue to seal the joint between the countertop and the sink.
Maintenance: A damp cleaning cloth is suitable for daily wiping. If necessary, a mild neutral detergent solution can be used. Suitable detergents are, for example, ordinary dishwashing detergents. Oil treatment changes the original color of the wood. The kitchen furniture warranty does not cover defects in untreated wood. Wooden work surfaces cannot withstand intense heat. Hot pots, hot plates and heating devices must not be placed on the work surface. Due to strong heat, the work surface may change color or even crack.
  5. Cleaning of metal handles, cutting boards, drying racks, baskets, corner cabinet carousels and garbage systems
Clean with neutral detergent and a damp cloth, wiping gently.
  6. Porcelain sink cleaning
Clean with neutral all-purpose detergents and cleaning sponges and brushes. Do not use any abrasive detergent or abrasive sponge or brush for cleaning.
  7. Cleaning and maintenance of marble sinks and countertops
It is cleaned with neutral universal detergents, but marble also tolerates the use of thinner turpentine and acetone to clean dirtier surfaces. In this case, the surface of the sink and worktop must be cleaned immediately with a damp cloth to prevent these substances from remaining on the surface for a long time. After cleaning, the surface of the cast marble sink can be polished with car wax. In general, car paint surface treatment products can be used to treat cast marble sinks.
  8. Cleaning stainless steel sink and surfaces
Always clean the sink with a damp cloth or sponge after use. If necessary, you can use a detergent that does not contain abrasive ingredients. Rinse the sink with water and then dry with a dry cloth to avoid limescale stains when the water dries. Do not use abrasive liquids, abrasive sponges or sharp objects that can scratch the stainless steel surface. Stainless steel can become discolored if items containing iron, such as steel, cast iron, metal mugs, stand on a wet surface for a long time. The color change is then due to foreign material. Always clean and wipe the surface of the sink lengthwise. Scratching of the steel surface is characteristic of steel.
  9. Movable mechanism repair for drawers and other products
Spray gear and sliders with maintenance lubricants designed to lubricate mechanisms.
  10. Door hinges
Door hinges do not require special maintenance, it is enough to keep them clean and dry.
  11. Adjusting the door and drawer front
It is done with adjustment screws. The screw must not be turned beyond the adjustment limit.

With proper maintenance, your kitchen will last for a long time looking brand new.
